Well it appears that Blogger has a nefarious desire to inflict me with as more extraneous and repetitive programming work then I need to for this site. About 4 weeks ago I painstakingly implemented the Technorati searchlet to the site. I wrestled with code for several days to get the formatting to work just right. Then about 3 days After I implemented the code successfully Blogger released the improved Blog search through Google.
About three weeks ago I then decided to implement Haloscan for my commenting system because Blogger did not feature trackbacks and I thought Haloscan was more flexible. Needless to say Haloscan sucks. It does not have email notification for comments plus Blogger again decides to "one-up" me and implements the talkback feature, which is essentially a built in trackback using the Google Blog Search.
So I just now, by hand reinstalled the Blogger native commenting system.
I think I won't make any more changes to my blog from now on.
